Delegates Prepare to Attend Gastech 2024

Delegates from BS Stainless are gearing up to attend the annual Gastech Conference and Exhibition, which is the world's leading event dedicated to the global gas industry. Providing a crucial opportunity for people from right across the complex industry to meet and share information, the event runs for four days this September.

The first Gastech event took place in London more than 50 years ago back in 1972. Each year, the exhibition and conference has continued to grow in scale, being hosted in many different countries including France, Qatar, Malaysia, Monaco, Singapore, South Korea, Japan, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands. Gastech 2024 is set to take place in Houston, Texas, a city which the organisers of the event describe as being 'famed for solving some of the world’s toughest energy challenges.'

Though the scope of Gastech is as wide and diverse as the industries it provides a platform for, the 2024 event will focus strongly on 'taking decisive action to accelerate a shared, global vision for the energy industry'. To this end, Gastech 2024 will feature two brand new events: Climatech and Gastech Hydrogen.

As the future unfolds, hydrogen is set to become an increasingly important source of energy. At Gastech Hydrogen, business leaders will be showcasing new technologies in this sector, which are designed to help decarbonise production without sacrificing efficiency.

According to the International Energy Agency, investments in nascent climate technology over the coming decade will have to be close to £17 trillion if startups are to be properly supported in achieving their development and commercialisation goals. The Climatech event will focus on a range of technologies and methods from AI and digitalisation to carbon capture and storage.

The BS Stainless team will be in attendance for the full duration of Gastech 2024, at which we will be taking the opportunity to meet with potential and existing partners and customers.

Many of the attendees at the event (including representatives from leading companies like Bechtel, Owens Corning (Foamglas), Cheniere, Fluor, Equinor, HB Fuller, INPEX, Saipem and Woodside Energy) are also involved in the oil and petrochemical industries. BS Stainless provides a wide range of materials and components to such clients, including stainless steel banding, metal jacketing, mass loaded vinyl and aluminium with a Surlyn™ moisture barrier along with an array of fasteners and ancillaries. You can find out more information about these crucial products on our website.
