A new University collaboration with the oil and gas industry has the potential to make huge savings - and bring the noise levels down in refineries and pipelines at the same time.
Preston-based company BS Stainless has launched SoundMet, a new jacketing and insulation material for oil and gas pipelines, after a two-year collaboration with scientists at Sheffield Hallam University's Materials and Engineering Research Institute (MERI).
