ColorMet – Painted Stainless Steel (PVDF)
Overview
Stainless Steel is constantly in demand due to its combination of formability and longevity however customers often want the surface to be coloured or painted.
This can be for many reasons including environmental or planning legislation, heat loss or for general aesthetic reasons. Our painted stainless steel, ColorMet, offers the solution, it is used in areas such as metal roofing, curtain walls and for oil and gas cladding or jacketing, this is especially popular for LNG were High emissivity is also required as well as added corrosion protection benefits.
Our paint system (PVDF) has outstanding weathering properties, increases significantly both the thermal emissivity of stainless steel and solar reflectivity (subject to colour selection). Our paint systems have been extensively tested in extreme temperatures to ensure they will withstand the harshest conditions. All the coatings meet the requirements of AAMA 2605.98 test procedures. More information on bending, forming and scratch tests are available.
We manufacture ColorMet to order so there will be minimum quantity requirements dependent on size and colour selection. Substrate material can be 304,316,317, duplex or many grades to order these will be produced to EN 10088 and or ASTM standards. All our materials are produced within the scope of our ISO 9001 accreditation. Want painted stainless steel strip? We can do that to see painted banding.
We can offer a range of solid colours, metallic and even some exotic colours. All material is fully primed and can be applied on one side or two as an alternative we can supply a Surlyn® based moisture barrier called Drymet® on the reverse.
