Professional Ancillaries for Insulation Systems
AInsulation systems are used in an array of different industries and must be constructed using materials of superlative quality to ensure they offer the best performance. It is crucial that the ancillary elements of such systems are of equal quality because failure of these will eventually result in failure of the entire system.
The extensive BS Stainless product portfolio contains a comprehensive collection of ancillaries for use in insulation and other systems. This collection includes several types of fasteners and fixings along with metal banding, lacing wire, meshes, foils, wing seals, toggles and a selection of springs. In this edition of the BS Stainless blog, we showcase two of the vital ancillary products we have available for purchase at the most competitive price.
DryFoil
To create DryFoil, two layers of robust polyester film are used to sandwich a layer of aluminium foil. The resulting triple-layer lamination can then be used to prevent the damaging ingress of moisture into insulation systems, especially those operating at ultra-low temperatures. Perfect for a variety of applications including as a facing over insulation boards and pipe sections/segments, DryFoil combines the excellent mechanical and thermal properties of polyester film with aluminium's exceptional qualities as a vapour barrier.
Standard rolls of DryFoil measure a metre in width by 500 metres in length. Securing the foil and the joints between sections is achieved with DryFoil tape, which is also available from BS Stainless.
Stainless Steel Woven Mesh
Extremely versatile, stainless steel woven mesh finds uses in many industrial sectors including oil, gas, petrochemical, HVAC and construction. The material is strong and durable, offering plenty of resistance to both corrosion and fire. This makes it suitable for constructing many different products such as heat shields, screens, filters and separators.
We produce stainless steel woven mesh to accurate tolerances in terms of wire diameter, apertures and holes. The product is usually made using grade 304 and 316 stainless steel but we can also produce mesh in several other materials on request, including special alloys like Monel and Inconel.
