Russian imports of products fabricated from stainless steel increased by 2% month-on-month between November and December last year, according to figures just published by SpetsStal Association.

During this time period, ERW stainless steel pipe imports increased by 37.7% while imports of pipe fittings grew by 46.6%. Stainless steel seamless pipes saw the biggest growth, with the country importing an massive extra 127.9% of this product compared to the previous month.

In the same month, imports of both long and flat stainless steel declined by 23.4% and 3.6% respectively, while imports of stainless steel ingots and slabs decline by 82.6% on a month-on-month basis.
