Stainless Steel: Your Questions Answered

Stainless steel is a material that people have been fascinated by for well over a century. There seems to be literally no end to the number of things it can be used for and it boasts an extremely long list of qualities and properties. Wherever you look and whatever you look at, stainless steel is just about everywhere.

As there is so much to know and to learn about stainless steel in its many forms, it will come as no surprise to find out that the team here at BS Stainless regularly receive calls and emails asking all sorts of different questions about the alloy. As part of our ongoing commitment to providing the very highest level of service to our customers, we have created a brand new FAQ page here on the BS Stainless website.

BS Stainless has been working in this demanding and complex industry for more than 25 years, having been established all the way back in 1998. During this time, in which we have been highly active in producing, processing and supplying stainless steel products to all types of industries, we have proudly grown to be a globally-renowned company. Our products are distributed to more than 50 countries all over the world and our client list includes high profile names like Shell, ExxonMobil, BP, British Energy, Balfour Beatty and Network Rail.

Though we are a separate entity from the British Standards Institution, the BS part of our company name is often associated with it. All of the raw materials we use are sourced from suppliers in full compliance with BS:EN standards, as well as others such as ASTM and DIN. In addition, we are a British company and we do set a high standard so the comparison is more than valid! We also work within the scope of an ISO 9001:2015 accredited management system and the ISO 14001 certified standard for sustainability.

Naturally, our long association with stainless steel means that the BS Stainless team is exceptionally knowledgeable and can provide authoritative answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about the ubiquitous material. We also work in close conjunction with a number of leading organisations and are active members of the British Stainless Steel Association.

We invite you to browse the newly created FAQ section of our website, along with our collection of other useful resources. If there is a question you would like to see answered then please do not hesitate to get in touch. Subscribe to our regular newsletter for updates!
